Veterans Day Celebration and The Cottages Grand Opening; Honoring Veterans and Elders with New Form of Health Care St. Martin’s in the Pines to Celebrate the Opening of The Cottages at St. Martin’s – Alabama’s only Green House home with a Veterans Day Celebration. The Cottages is a new form of eldercare that reintroduces “home” to nursing homes. Caring for the frailest of elders, nursing homes are not typically very “homey” places. The Cottages changes that by replacing long hallways with small houses, large dining rooms with one dining table where meals are shared and busy nurses stations with a hearth where elders and staff spend time together. November 11th 2pm – 4pm, a Veterans Day Celebration and The Cottages Grand Opening will be held. St. Martin's in the Pines The event is free and open to the public
