Inaugural Birmingham VisionWalk
Inaugural Birmingham VisionWalk Set to Raise Funds for Blindness Research
The Foundation Fighting Blindness (www.FightBlindness.org) will host its Inaugural VisionWalk in Birmingham on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Homewood Central Park. Registration begins at 9:00 A.M. and the Walk will start at 10:00 A.M.
The event will raise money for the research that will lead to cures for retinal degenerative diseases, including retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, Usher syndrome, Stargardt disease, and numerous others. These diseases affect more than 10 million Americans of all races and ethnic groups, young and old.
Please bring your entire family to join in on the fun and excitement. We will have various activities for people of all ages, including a DJ, face painting, Kids’ Zone, and a bounce house. We will also have plenty of snacks and refreshments, a creative team spirit contest, fun announcements, and much more.

Alabama Congressional and Gubenatorial Forums and Straw Poll
The Campaign for Liberty and Rainy Day Patriots will be hosting a U.S. Congressional Forum and Straw Poll on November 5, 2009. On November 9, 2009 we will be hosting the Gubernatorial Forum and Straw Poll. The time will be at 7:00 for both events and will take place at Mathew's Manor in Springville, Alabama .

Northport Elementary School
Northport Elementary School is having a Cookout in the Courtyard on Friday, October 16th from 5-7pm before the Tuscaloosa County High School Football Homecoming Game.
The school is also having its Fall Festival on Friday, October 30th from 5 - 8pm.
Both events will help the school raise money to help build a Gym/Activity Building.
