Girls Inc Cajun Cook-Off; Make plans to attend this casual, family-friendly event featuring a Cajun cooking competition as well as live music from the Swamp Poppas in downtown Birmingham’s beautiful Linn Park. Enjoy tasting all your Cajun favorites including gumbo, etouffee, jambalaya, red beans and rice and more! Your vote will help determine the winner of the cook-off competition. We’ll also have fun activities for kids including face painting, a balloon artist and henna tattoos! Last year’s event was attended by over 600 people, and we’re expecting an even bigger crowd this year. Buy your ticket early and use it for free entry into our Cook-off Kickoff Party on April 3rd from 5:30PM-7:30PM at The Wine Loft downtown. The Kickoff Party will help build excitement for the main event and will feature a silent auction, free hors d'oeuvres and great drink specials from The Wine Loft. Can’t make it to the Cook-off? You can still attend the Kickoff Party by paying the $10 cover fee.
