The Homewood National Night Out event will include: • Homewood Police / SWAT Officers / Vehicles • Homewood Citizens Police Academy Alumni • Homewood Police Foundation Porsche • Federal Bureau of Investigation • Target Stores volunteers and giveaways (Nintendo Wii) • Shred-it will be present and offering free shredding of up to 5 boxes of documents on site • JAMM Entertainment • Inflatables • Free Mayfield Ice Cream • Concessions ($) • Local churches, businesses and more NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to: •Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; •Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; •Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and •Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
