10th Annual Free Comic Book Day

10th Annual Free Comic Book Day; Alabama Phoenix Festival hosts the 10th Annual Free Comic Book Day at Kingdom Comics in Vestavia Hills, AL. This nationwide celebration of comic books brings fans of all ages together to celebrate their most loved superheroes. Anyone that attends the event will receive a free comic book. Last year, over 3,000 comic books were given out at Kingdom Comics alone, with an expectation to give out even more this year. Alabama Phoenix Festival is a festival for creative minds on Memorial Day Weekend, May 24 - 26, 2013, at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center. This Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Gaming, Comic Book, and Costume Convention will begin at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 24, with activities around the clock until closing at 8:00 pm Sunday, May 26. This year, Alabama Phoenix Festival is working to increase the number of activities for younger fans, introducing special rates for members under 14, and offering free admission to those under 8.
