2nd Alabama Clay Market

2nd Alabama Clay Market; The Alabama Clay Conference and Christopher House Antiques in Birmingham, Alabama are excited to announce the second annual ALABAMA CLAY MARKET, a 10 day pottery and sculpture sale, offering the work of some of the state’s best ceramic artists. The Clay Market opens with a reception on Thursday evening, February 21st from 6-9 pm and will continue on Friday, February 22, and Saturday, February 23, 10am-5pm. The Market will close on Sunday and resume on Monday, February 25 through Friday, March 1, from 4pm-9pm and Saturday, March 2, from 10am-5pm. Come and enjoy A Night at the Market with Artist Demonstrations at 6 pm on Wednesday, February 27, with Lynnette Hesser and Margaret Barber and Friday, March 1, with Larry Allen and Adam Snyder. Hosted by Christopher House Antiques at 3205 2nd Ave. South, and in conjunction with the 2013 Alabama Clay Conference, the Market will bring together the work of 29 Alabama ceramic artists, with styles ranging from folk to modern. Not to be confused with traditional street fairs or craft shows comprised of booths and elaborate displays, this is a frills-free market set-up with artist wares displayed on tables. The Alabama Clay Market seeks to bring the work of well-known Alabama potters and ceramic artists together and offer the public a wide-variety of choices and prices.
