Tuscaloosa Go Red for Women Seminar and Luncheon

Tuscaloosa Go Red for Women Seminar and Luncheon; The American Heart Association’s annual Go Red for Women luncheon is taking place. This annual event is the tradition kickoff for the GRFW campaign, which works to educate women about the No. 1 threat to their health, heart disease. Each year, about 433,000 women die of cardiovascular diseases – an average of one per minute. Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women – killing more women each year than the next four causes of death combined (including all forms of cancer). GRFW is helping women realize the threat cardiovascular disease poses and give them the tools and information they need to fight it. It also goes a long way toward raising the funding necessary to research these diseases and discover new ways of preventing and treating them. Speaking at this year’s event will be Diana Jordan – a nationally-known motivational speaker and comedienne who has draw rave reviews from personalities such as Oprah Winfrey, Robin Williams. For tickets, call Leah O'Gwynn at 205-510-1529
