It Can Happen to You, Sister Workshop; The Jefferson County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents the Health Task Force Initiative, which was launched to provide concentrated expertise and focus on the Physical and Mental Health aspect of our Five Point Programmatic Thrust. The mission of the Health Force is to educate and facilitate lifestyle changes for the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of the communities that we serve. As a part of this program, the Jefferson County Alumnae Chapter, in conjunction with the Birmingham Public Library, is hosting “It Can Happen to You Sister” in an effort to educate women of color on prevention, early detection, and treatment of less commonly disease processes, including HPV, Fibroids, Endometriosis, Lupus, and Multiple Sclerosis.
