The West Anniston Foundation is a nonprofit organization located in Anniston,AL. The West Anniston Foundation was awarded a one-year grant through the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Community Challenge, which helps community and placed-based foundations support news and information projects that inform and engage residents. The West Anniston Foundation will launch an interactive radio program and continuous website entitled West Anniston Today, that will help area residents interact immediately with representatives of businesses, government agencies and other community organizations. West Anniston Today will make accurate and timely information available to residents so they will be better informed, less susceptible to rumor and misinformation, and more likely to participate in programs and activities that benefit individual residents and the community. West Anniston Today will be aired on Anniston's local radio station WHOG 1120AM.
