BIRMINGHAM. Al - The Birmingham-Metro Chapter NAACP will host a Candidates Debate and Forum Aug. 11, 12 and 13 at the Downtown Birmingham Public Library for all School Board and City Council Candidates and Incumbents. There are over 60 candidates who have filed to run. The date to qualify ends on August 4th at 5:00pm. All candidates will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and explain their platform to the public and to the media. The League of Women Voters will serve as moderators for the event. Dr. Natalie Davis of Birmingham Southern College will be our Special Guest Moderator on opening night.
