Afternoon of Praise!

Afternoon of Praise!; Dove Award Nominee Richard Kingsmore, one of the foremost arrangers and orchestrators in Christian music publishing today, will lead an orchestra and a choir of over 100 local voices in an exciting community-wide praise experience. Music ministries from multiple denominations throughout the Talladega community are joining together under the guidance of Kingsmore to present a wonderful Afternoon of Praise! This special program will be the dynamic culmination of a powerful workshop weekend filled with music and fellowship for the singers and musicians. During his 30-year career, Kingsmore has arranged such famous works as Chris Tomlin’s Our God and other popular Christian favorites, including Jerusalem with Holy City. The choir and musicians will perform some of these as well as other fantastic praise pieces. Kingsmore has a strong calling to be involved with worship in the local church and to work firsthand with the ministries for which he is writing. His passion and energy for creating music and inspiring others to worship through music is contagious and makes him a highly sought-after clinician at churches/conferences across the country. Talladega is very fortunate to have him lead this special weekend. Tickets to Afternoon of Praise! are only $10 and may be purchased by calling The Ritz Theatre at 256-315-0000. All proceeds from ticket sales are going directly to The Red Door Kitchen. Each month, The Red Door Kitchen feeds over 2,000 meals to those in the Talladega community who are homebound or otherwise cannot get proper nutrition on a consistent basis. We ask you to please bring a canned good or two when you come to the concert, for donation to the Samaritan House. The Samaritan House provides canned food and clothing to those in the Talladega community who need it. Together, we can make a real and positive difference!
